Deep Tissue - A variety of hands-on techniques are used to restore the connective tissue to its natural state. Another name for connective tissue is fascia - tissue surrounding the muscles. Techniques used can restore flexibility and functionality to the muscles and remove pain.
Fibromyalgia - A disorder characterised by muscle pain, stiffness and easy fatigability. The cause is unknown and an estimated 4 million are affected in the USA.
Lymphatic Massage - A gentle and wonderful way to promote balance of the body's internal chemistry, purify and regenerate tissues, normalize functions of organs and promote immune system function.
Myofacial Release - Is a bodywork modality that gently releases restrictions in the connective tissue layer. This tissue layer, which connects every muscle, tendon, ligament, bone, and organ in our bodies, can store memories of physical trauma. Releasing these restrictions produces a healing effect upon the body tissues allowing us to discharge recurring emotional as well as physical pain while restoring motion, improving circulation and nervous system transmission.
Myotherapy - A deep muscle massage with connective tissue massage, tissue integrity and other techniques to reduce muscle pain popularized by Bonnie Prudden. Emphasis is placed on the relief of muscle pain through pressure applied at trigger points.
Pregnancy - Massage therapy in pregnancy can include specific light and deep pressure massage, myofascial techniques, circulatory work, acupressure, reflexology, and other techniques.
Sport Massage - Massage for the athlete and those with sports injuries. Various techniques including stretching and instruction for at-home care to promote wellness maintain good health and prevent injuries.
Swedish Massage - The most common form of massage, Swedish relaxes muscles and eases aches and pains. Long connective strokes create a very relaxing and gentle massage.
Swedish Sedona - Swedish Sedona was designed by Susan Pomfret using long flowing connected stroked designed to relax and pamper the body. It is considered a very graceful and luxurious therapy.
Auriculotherapy - is a reflexotherapy of an integument which uses the ear pavilion as a reflex zone.
Using the core rhythm in the body, Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle and non-invasive treatment used to evaluate and enhance the physiological body system called the cranioscaral system. This therapy is used for clients with chronic pain, learning disabilities, dysfunctions of the central nervous system, fibromyalgia, postural problems and more.
Polarity - developed by Dr. Randolph Stone, is a blend of Eastern and Western healing sciences used to realign and unite body, mind, spirit and emotions into harmony. Treatment uses dietary principals, posture, stretches and energy balancing.
Reflexology - Our bodies mirror themselves at reflex points through our feet, hands and ears.
Reiki - A complete system of holistic healing and personal development, Reiki balances the energy field on a spiritual, mental, emotional and physical plane. Reiki therapy assists in resolving problems, achieving goals, developing higher consciousness and fulfilling your spiritual purpose.
Thai - Is an oil-less massage performed on the floor and designed to increase flexibility, decrease stress, relieve tension and promote a balanced state of mind, body and spirit. The application of slow, rhythmic compressions and stretches along ten of the most important "sen" (the body's energy lines), using the palms of the hands, thumbs, elbows and feet elongates the spine and decompresses the body.
Tui Na - Tui Na makes use of many different strokes that are applied to acupoints, channels and muscle groups. Most importantly Tui Na is a physical expression of the flow of Qi energy from one human being to another.
Zen Shiatsu - is a form of bodywork a manipulation administered by thumbs fingers palms and elbows without the use of any instrument in which sustained comfortable pressure is applied to all parts of the body on specific acupuncture points which are situated on the energy Qi meridians.
La Stone - Warm and cool stones are used with a full body relaxation massage and essential oils. Better than just a massage as the heat penetrates deeply within the muscles and the cool refreshes.
